Longhorn Cove is a brand new stone cabin located on a secluded cove that flows into Lake LBJ.  This home is not located at Log Country Cove but it is very close driving distance and shares all the same waterfront amenities offered at Log Country Cove.  Longhorn Cove is managed by Log Country Cove, with 20+ years of 5 star hospitality in the Kingsland area.  Non-motorized items included in your stay.

  We arrived Friday afternoon 6/2 & stayed through Sunday. At first we got lost trying to find the house. The grass & wild flowers are so high, we didn’t see the street sign. LOL I was also disappointed we were not inside the resort. Once we found the house, we we blown away. Gorgeous home. Beautiful inside & out. Immaculate. It was so quiet & peaceful. We couldn’t see any neighbors. Drinking coffee on the patio both morning’s & listening to the wildlife was wonderful. I can’t wait to stay there again. I highly recommend this vacation rental.

  The overall cabin was very nice and clean, but found it separated from the rest of the resort and difficult to initially find. There is internet available, but I found that my phone service was much better as their wifi was very slow. But you really don't come to the hill country for the internet. Overall, it was a nice getaway.

The only slightly negative comment we had was no extra blankets and sheets were available to make up the pull out couches, which we needed so we had to improvise. other than that, a very nice place.

  The master bathroom shower was not made to drain correctly. Water was all over the floor after a shower and eventually pooled behind the opened restroom door. This is a slipping hazard on the slick concrete floor and I'm glad we noticed it when we did to soak up all the water.

We had two 13 year olds with us so I think staying on the property would’ve have been more ideal for them so they were closer to basketball hoop, water activities and other kids.   Great cabin to disconnect and unwind. Comfortable bed and good water pressure in the shower. Little to no light pollution outside allows for wonderful stargazing!
  
  The internet connection is slow, couldn’t load Netflix, but it forced us to stay away from our phones and TVs- a very much needed break!
  
  The location is not as secluded as advertised, there are other properties across the creek from the patio, and we could see people walking around and hear them play music on occasion.
  
  Overall, it was a great stay and a chance to reconnect with nature and disconnect from our electronics :)

  Longhorn Cove is very cute and clean. We were basically looking for a place besides our own home where we could isolate. This is a lovely option. It's not quite as secluded as would have liked, as one day we spent listening to a neighbor's loud music, but all the other days were perfect. There is a kitchen, satellite TV in each room, WiFi and a cozy deck. We spent most days trying to peep the deer that roam about.

The house served as a base as we spent the days visiting the Cavern, Inks Park, and towns from Burnet to as far south as Fredericksburg and Kerrville. The house sets in the trees and we enjoyed the deer and fox squirrels.

  We(my family and I) enjoyed our stay at Longhorn Cove. The views were amazing and the interior was breathtaking. The design gave me ideas for my own home renovations, the shower in the master suite was definitely a favorite. The seclusion was another plus. We loved the fact that we could go down to the lake and socialize with the other families and when we were done paddle boating, rope swinging, and etc we could return to the peace of our cabin. The second favorite was the little book left in the living area that allowed us to write out how we enjoyed our stay and reading up on other people’s trips as well! We’re definitely planning a future trip.

  We absolutely loved the longhorn cove cabin! It was perfect for our family of 4;had everything you could possibly need was very clean and well-maintained. Everyone at Log Country Cove was super helpful and friendly! This is our second stay with Log Country Cove and we will def. be back!!

  What a gorgeous little cabin! We can’t say enough good things! Very private, no loud noisy neighbors that we encountered. The house still has new house smell, absolutely immaculate! The staff was very accommodating for our late check in. All in all, it’s a fantastic find, we will definitely return!
