This beautiful two-story log cabin is nestled on 5 acres with lots of shade trees and privacy.  This home has a pool & hot tub and is very close to the lake! This would be a great place for a large family.  Redtown is on Log Country Cove property & is managed by Log Country Cove with 20+ years of five star hospitality in the Kingsland area.  Non-motorized items included in your stay.

  This was our 4th year in a row staying at Redtown River Retreat. This house and pool and the commons area lakeside are all perfect for our family. There is so much to do and plenty of comfortable spaces for gathering and for retreating to your own space to relax.
  This year we took two more adjacent homes for our extended family and had a wonderful family reunion with 28 people.
  The management was so responsive and accommodating as always

  This property was just what we needed for our 4 families to get together for a weekend. Plenty of space for everyone to feel comfortable. Large dining room table allowed for everyone to eat together. Property manager was very responsive to questions. It would have gotten 5 stars except for the following: Wi-Fi was not reliable, hot tub jets not working, no hairdryers, no pool towels, only one garbage bag provided for trash, remote for pool and spa did not work.

  We did find a couple of scorpions indoors and the refrigerator on the right seems to not get cold enough. Love it that there are two refrigerators, but please check on that one.

  Had a great stay with a large group of all adults over Memorial Day weekend. The property itself is plenty nice with lots of room. Pool at hot tub were operational. I suggest bringing some shade canopy tents for out back because there is nowhere to hide from the sun, so those came in clutch. Wifi wasn’t working but we didn’t really troubleshoot it either. Log Country Cove at large is an amazing property.

  We loved every minute of our stay. We rented the cabins for our wedding weekend and everyone who stayed raves about how nice they were. You only needed to bring food, paper products and toiletries because the cabin has everything else. The pool and jacuzzi were great to hang out it. Everyone was comfortable and slept great. We were planning trips back before we even left. It’s a great place for a little getaway to relax and enjoy peace and quiet. The lake was great too. The home was clean and the staff were great. We’ll have to bring a boat next time. Again, can’t wait to go back. 10/10 recommend.

  We have been renting this property for many years for our company's staff retreat. The space is large and we can have multiple things going on, on the bottom floor. From multiple board games, Jackbox on the TV, and people snacking in the kitchen, the space is open and inviting. There is also a loft area upstairs with another TV where people can hang out.
  
  The rooms are spacious and can fit many comfortably (as long as you don't mind a trundle bed).
  
  The bathrooms have bar soap, so if you are wanting some liquid soap, make sure you bring your own! Otherwise, there are plenty of bathrooms (as long as you don't mind people walking through rooms to get to them).
  
  The kitchen has a lot of dishes and serving utensils and such, all you need to do is bring the food! With two fridges, you can store food for days. The grill outside is a charcoal grill. The water from the sink is plenty clean enough to drink from.
  
  The property is clean and well-maintained and we've never had an issue with the manager. Though one year we asked to have the pool heated and it was not heated very well (lukewarm at best) and that same year the hot tub was not hot at all. Not sure what went wrong that year, but otherwise, we've had no troubles.
  
  I would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives. Even thought about renting it for a family reunion. But that's a different story. (It's not about whether this rental property is good enough... it's whether or not I can get my family to take a vacation together.)
  
  The campground amenities like the sand volleyball court, the mini golf, and the grounds itself are all just cherries on top.
  
  All in all, 5 stars! Great place. Highly recommend.

The real feature to the neighborhood is the Longhorn Cavern State Park. My only suggestion would be to have better directions for the SPA controller.

  We had a very pleasant stay at the Redtown River Retreat. The house was very large and the layout was perfect for our group of 8 adults, 3 teens, and 3 betweens. There are interesting activities nearby and the common area was a big hit with the kids. The house was clean had ample number of towels and check in and out was easy. The only reason I wouldn't give the property all '5s' are the small things that needed to be fixed like corner broken off glass stovetop, couple of stones loose on the jacuzzi, door knobs were coming off (we tightened them up). Having two refrigerators was great but one was missing the glass over the produce bins and the bottom grate fell off when we first opened the door. None of this really prevented us from having a good time.

  This home is amazing! Everyone loved the lay out of the home and pool. Our 1 year old twin Granddaughters loved playing in the area of the pool that is only around 2ft deep. It was perfect. Our 9 year old Granddaughter loved playing in the pool itself. The only negative was the hot tub. The jets had very little flow and there are a few rocks that are loose on the hot tub on the pool side. One even fell and hit one of the kids on the head while she was in the pool. However, our family loved our time so much at this cabin that we have scheduled to come back next year. Thank you to ALL the office staff. Every single person was so helpful and exceptional friendly.

  We had such a great time. The house is big enough so that a large family can spread out and be comfortable. Everything is so clean and the pool was very nice!

  My son got married at Cedar Skies (wonderful venue) and we rented Redtown River Retreat. It was HUGE! We had 3 couples sharing the house but there is plenty of space for a large family! 2 downstairs king en suites and 1 upstairs king en suite, plus two queen/twin trundle rooms and a loft with more more twin trundles! Kitchen was well equipped with just about anything needed! Pool was amazing! We enjoyed having coffee in the courtyard each morning. We loved this house!

  This secluded vacation home is the perfect Hill Country Retreat. We rented the home to celebrate monumental birthdays with friends. Great location and is able to accommodate at least 5 couples or a large family. We enjoyed the pool/hot tub and firepit. The property is a short walk to the lake and other amenities of log country cove such as a boat ramp or watercraft rentals. The bluebonnets were in full bloom this time of year. There is a local winery nearby. I definitely recommend this VRBO and would come back again. We enjoyed our stay

  We rented this cabin for 4 nights in late March for multiple families. There were 5 families in this 1 cabin-Total 9 adults and 5 kids. There was more than enough room for everyone inside in the main living areas and for privacy in the rooms and outside. There was a safety fence for the backyard and pool. There was enough grass in the backyard for our dog to use the bathroom. The kitchen and table was large enough for our group. The cabin was one of the furthest from the water access and office area but it was also much more private. The walk to the office and water was about 10-15 minutes and was downhill-the walk up may be tiring for older members of the family since it is uphill. We had what we needed to cook and make family dinners. Local restaurant were a small drive away. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend for a large family.
  The office was always available and helpful with any questions. There is a direct line for internet access if needed. There is a carport for vehicles which was important during our stay since there was a hail storm twice during our stay.

  We had a wonderful family gathering. The property was beautiful, the Redtown River Retreat was perfect for our family with so many terrific amenities, very clean and well furnished. It was somewhat off to itself which we loved. We enjoyed the sand volleyball court, the nearby frisbee golf course in Marble Falls, and the Horseshoe Bay hiking trail near Kingsland. The staff at Log Country Cove was so friendly and so helpful—a big thank you to them! We would definitely recommend this property to others and we would love to make a return trip ourselves.   I booked this cabin for my entire family so there were five different family groups making up 20 people. The cabin was in pristine condition when we arrived and the pool was already heated and ready to go. The house was the perfect size for all of us to hang out, relax, and not feel crowded. The loft area was perfect for all of the kids so that all of the adults could enjoy their own rooms. I really loved that this cabin has two master suites, which both had doors leading directly to the back patio/pool area. The entire resort is beautiful and full of amenities that entertained everyone in our group from age three to fifty. We had a fantastic time even in the winter season, and will definitely be returning in the summer.

  We all had a great weekend. The grandchildren loved the area an the pool and the adults liked the hot tub. This place was our third time renting from the cove. The pontoon boat trail and the canoe was a lot of fun and the guys like Cameron, Noah and the ladies in the office where just so easy going.   Very spacious and accommodates so many!! LOVED that there were 2 spacious master suites on bottom floor- perfect for 2 'parents' rooms and then kids upstairs. Close to the highway, but noise didn't bother us. We felt very secluded and had plenty of privacy. Would love to go back in non- pandemic times and take more advantage of all the amenities! We were pleasantly surprised with all the space, and had a great time!

  My family and I felt this was the best and most secluded property in Log Country Cove. The pool was large and had a great hot tub with complete privacy from other cabins. The bedrooms, dining area, kitchen and living area were roomy, and the 4.5 bathrooms were a big plus. We'd love to return!

  We loved the layout of the house and it worked well for our group. We loved the outside fire pits and made good use of them. Reservations were easy to complete and office staff very helpful. There were numerous problems with the home that required maintenance and Sean was great and worked hard to resolve these issues as best he could.
