  This was the perfect spot for our family to meet up and spend precious time together. The cabins at Log Country Cove are spread out and secluded from each other, so there's lots of privacy. We loved the Silver Bear cabin and loved having our own private pool and hot tub to enjoy. The kitchen is set up with everything you need to cook your own meals, or there are great places to go out to eat in nearby Kingsland (we liked La Tequila Jalisco). There's also a beautiful winery just 3 miles to the north that we really enjoyed. The property was very clean and well taken care of. The manager was very attentive and helpful when we had questions and needed help turning on the hot tub. Highly recommended vacation/retreat spot! :)

The cabin was clean and comfortable, and there were so many things to do. We were well informed from owner=office about what we needed to bring, etc. it was perfect.   Location of house to other houses we rented was perfect for easy access to all. Few lights in house needed new bulbs and water came in back door during heavy rain, but overall the house was well maintained. Enjoyed our stay very much and plan to do it again next year.

  We always have a wonderful time visiting the Hill Country and staying at the Log Country Cove. We love fishing, swimming in the pool, and the atmosphere.
  
  We have stayed three times out of our six visits at Silver Bear. We will probably stay at another cabin next year. Silver Bear needs some updating. The tile upstairs in the bathroom is cracked in many places; there are little black bugs in the sinks and jet tub. The downstairs bathroom bathtub was slippery, with no toilet paper holder. The water hose was not usable due to many cracks and holes. The pool could use a real good cleaning.
  
  We made wonderful family memories and were able to celebrate my parents' 43rd wedding anniversary.

  Our family stayed at Silver Bear cabin. We absolutely loved the pool and spent most of our time in it, but there were several issues that I feel I should bring to your attention.
  
  One of the chairs on the back patio is broken and my grandson almost fell backwards off of it, several tiles on the floor in the master bathroom upstairs are broken and we layed towels down so we didn't crack them more, the pots and pans are very dated and the teflon is almost completely off on some of the frying pans, not safe to cook in. Upstairs floor has several floor scratches, paint peeling off of the wall by trash can in kitchen, tub rusted downstairs, the plugs in the master tub and sinks are broken, box fan doesn't work, ducks head is broken in the window seal in kitchen, and the kitchen faucet spring is broken. Also, we could not get any of the TV's to work. Only 1 station or a DVD. Kids had their tablets so no big deal.
  
  I wanted to address these not as much as a complaint, but concern that you may be unaware of its condition. The property is the furthest from the amenities so if your looking for privacy this is perfect, but it is a long walking distance to amenities, so we had to drive.
  
  We still had a great time and will be coming back.

  Our cabin was exactly what we expected! The management staff did a great job on following up with my reservation and check in. When we arrived, we a small issue with turning on the lights in one of the bedrooms but the staff was very quick to respond and fixed the issue. We had plenty of the room for the entire family. We will definitely be booking again soon!

  Cabin was very nice. Needed some minor maintenance ie. Algicide in pool, light burnt out over stove, sticking doors downstairs bathroom and dryer door, dish box disconnected had to reset up. AC was very good.

  As always we had a wonderful stay at Log Country Cove. We have stayed at numerous cabins there and have always enjoyed our stay. The staff is great and very helpful. We had trouble getting the hot tub on and they had someone sent over quickly. The house was clean and comfortable. the kitchen is well equipped. The only complaint would be the beds that were upstairs besides, the King bed. You could actually feel every spring in them. Otherwise, it is a very lovely cabin.

  This is our second time coming back to Silver Bear and we enjoyed the area. The house is very cozy and great for a family however we did have some problems. The shower in the guest bathroom did not work. When we called they did respond quick but it was never fixed. The electricity in the guest bedroom down stairs at night kept kept tripping which made the room hot and we had to deal with the breaker in the middle of the night. Also the air conditioning up stairs would turn off in the middle of the night and we would have to turn it back on. The pool was nice and clean and we enjoyed ourselves even with these few set backs.

  We had a great time! Enjoyed kayaking, fishing and we also rented a pontoon! We had a great time with our family! We extended our stay an additional day. The cabin was nice. The only two issues we had was: 1. The 2 bedrooms downstairs were really small. 2. They cut the heat off on the hot tub our last night. It was around 6 and we really wanted to use it and relax one last time.

  Cabin had everything for our family. Location was great and private. Spent most of the time at our own pool which helped tremendously in the triple digit heat. Wonderful for bird watching as there were quite a few cardinals living near cabin. Very spacious and comfy with a lot of board games and movies to watch for the kids. The staff were very friendly and inviting.

  My family and I had a wonderful time here. It was a much needed vacation. The house was beautiful and clean. The outside was great for BBQ and the pool was a great all hours of the day. The house was right behind a trail so we took advantage of that on daily hikes. We also had fun using the water toys that were for rent through the property. They only downfall and there was only one was that the air conditioning would turn to 85 every night. We would have to turn it down and I am sure it was just preset but it was bothersome to do it upstairs and downstairs. Other than that we are definitely booking there again for next year.

  The beds and bedding could stand to be updated as well as the pillows! The house is located close to the main road and the street noise is loud when sitting on the porch. But overall, the house had everything we needed! It was decorated very well and was a very comfortable place to hang out with our family for a wedding.

    Sally, Unfortunately we do have some homes closer to the road than others. Usually this time of year the traffic isn't too busy. I will make a note to the homeowner about upgrading the sheets, furniture, and beds. They are very god about replacing worn out items when notified by guest or management.   The patio was gorgeous, we spent a lot of time in the hot tub. The inside was very nice except for following items: smallest bedroom was so small no one would sleep in it, kitchen was lacking utensils we needed plus dishes, the living area downstairs was too small for all of us to sit together, and we could not find the trash dumpster even after calling the office twice. We ended up hauling trash & recycle home with us. Otherwise, we had a great stay.

    Monica, We are sorry to hear about these issues. Although we try our best to keep them stocked before you arrive, we do have a mini Walmart here at the office to restock the homes if need be. We will get the home restocked. A trash dumpster for the Silver Bear is located off of our main road. I'm sorry you couldn't find the dumpsters.   This was a surprise get away for our bride to be. We visited one of the recommended eating spots that was found in the app that was provided to track our stay. Even I knee we wouldn't make it to the cabin by 4, I called through office to let them know we were in town, just up the road getting a bite to eat. The office was very nice and understanding. She gave me the information needed to get in the cabin after dinner.
  When we drove up there was a disassembled pool table or some sort on the carport so it Madrid me concerned but as soon as I entered the home, I was blown away. This home is beautiful. It was clean. The rooms and bathrooms were organized and also very clean. Every knook and cranny that could be a sleeping area for 12, was easily spotted with the couch type futon under the stairs and the two roll away beds that were upstairs. The loft was gorgeous and also very accommodating and had that home feel. We had enough toiletries even though we did bring some of our own. The pool, the hot tub and the entire back yard was very well kept. I was so impressed with the entire home and would stay again in a heartbeat.

  Perfect get away location, a little over an hour west of Austin. Quiet, lovely location with fantastic pool, hot tub, great kitchen, pool table and lounging areas. Everyone loved it. ONly complaint was very limited internet connection, although satellite worked great for TV/music.
