  Our Family of 12 recently stayed at Lost Moose Lodge! We heated the pool and had a great time! The cabin is great and everyone loved the privacy! The beds are all comfy , plenty of seating inside and out the kitchen was well stocked and we appreciated the extra fridge outside. The only improvement that could be made were new coffee pots. They are very slow due to minerals in the water. We will definitely return!

  We loved Lost Moose. We had ten grandkids, eight adults with plenty of room. This lodge is more isolated so noise is not an issue. The interior and private pool and spa were clean. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils. The kids loved the lake area with the various attractions. Not quite five stars as some mattresses could be upgraded. Recommended!

  House was very comfortable even with 13 adults and 4 littles. Lots of space to spread out and have private time or commune with others. We spent a lot of time in the pool and on the patios. Only suggestion I would have is if possible to spray the patios and pool area with bug repellent; annoying gnats or flying ants.

The pool was fantastic, and I appreciated the safety of it with a gate to enter the pool area that the toddler couldn’t access on her own. The kitchen had everything we needed.   We had a great stay with the family on this perfect spot in the Burnet area in Texas. The house is spacious and nicely tucked away to make it very private.
  Unfortunately the house was not properly cleaned and we had a wasp nest on the second floor.
  Also, being it a place that can sleep up to 24 people, it was not stocked with enough items such as trash bags.
  Despite these relatively minor issues, we had a perfect weekend in this awesome cabin.

  The cabin was amazing!! This was not my personal first time to LCC, but majority of our cabin crew had never seen something quite like this. Everything from the planning of the rental to the checkin and checkout, was great. The cabin was spotless coming in. Someone even came a cleaned the outside while we were preparing for the party. It was a great cabin choice for the party size of 24; good mix for couples and singles to stay. The pool was completely shaded so it was quite cool, but we did stay in Mid-April so what do you expect. The ONLY negative was that the spa did not heat up. I called to have someone come out and they did not show up to help. So we could not fully enjoy the amenity of the pool. But we got over it. Too much fun around us!! The cove down by the lake was awesome!! We spent a whole day down there. Fantastic rental place. We will absolutely be back next year.

  From our 3 year old to our 92 year old patriarch everyone loved Lost Moose. This was the perfect spot for our extended family to get together. I don’t know how many times we said to each other, “this is perfect!” We spent much of our time in the beautiful pool and hot tub. The house is secluded so we never worried about the joyful noise everyone was making. The house is so spacious that no one was crowded. We are a big coffee drinking crowd and the existing pot could not keep up so we added one to the cause. The kitchen was well appointed and we lacked for nothing. The covered patio has an outdoor kitchen with full size refrigerator and sink. There was so much patio furniture. We were sad there was a burn ban because the fire pit is first class. We appreciated the ample parking and dumpster for the trash.
  
  The WiFi was robust. Not one complaint or problem with it. The TVs were also easy to use. I stay in a lot of vacation homes and these are no small things, so bravo to the owners.
  
  I called the Log Country Cove management team multiple times before our stay and found them so easy to work. The amenities area at the lake was enjoyed by our entire family. We have stayed a several LCC properties but this was our favorite.

  We enjoyed our stay at Lost Moose Lodge - it had so much space, especially for sleeping arrangements. The kitchen was well stocked with every cooking utensil you might need - plenty of room in the kitchen too. The outdoor patio and pool area were beautiful and we loved sitting outside with a cool breeze even though it was a warm day. The pool was cool because it is shaded so you may want to request it to be heated. Some updating could be used in some areas but overall a great experience.

  Overall, great experience at the Cove. Amenities on the lake commons area was superb. Having two state parks to visit added a cave tour, mining experience and lots of hiking for all of us. Having eating options and nearby grocery stores was very nice.
  
  The Lost Moose Lodge was large enough for all 14 of us. Swimming pool, spa and large patio with fire pit and grill plus outdoor refrigerator was perfect. Would warn renters of remote location from the lake and commons plus the dirt road into the property needs attention as it was severely washed out and rutted. Renters also need to bring trash bags and other amenities normally provided in a resort including hair dryers.

  Rented from 12/23-12/27 with 11 people. Plenty of room for the group. Everyone really enjoyed themselves. Could have used a bigger general room downstairs for the group. Had one problem with the spa but they fixed quickly. Heat went out multiple times as breakers continued to trip and woke up to 50 degree temperatures in the downstairs. Again, staff was quick to address. Pool table is rough and torn and slants to one side so it was basically useless. Would have been helpful to have a complete list of kitchen utensils so we would know what to bring, but generally well supplied. Despite some of these issues, we had a very good stay and would recommend this cabin. The team at Log Country Cove is very responsive and great to work with.

  We had such a blast celebrating a birthday with friends. It was a great adult weekend get-a-way. The home was clean upon arrival, kitchen was fully stocked with even a blender and small crockpot. This would have been a perfect home for multiple families with kids with so many beds. We were all planning our next visit here with our families. The home is off the beaten path and extremely hard to miss initially but so nice, secluded and peaceful. The pool was perfect, the hot tub was nice and that extra fridge on the outside patio came in very handy. HEB is maybe 10 minutes down the road and a wonderful little winery is 5 minutes the opposite direction. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend!

  A few finishes were shoddy.
  The toilet paper holder was falling out of the wall and the toilet seat was wrong size/and loose in the main bedroom (south). Large buildup of dust on taxidermy and antler chandelier/chain.
  But we would return.

Loved the pool and hot tub, large outdoor seating areas (both covered and open), swings and outdoor kitchen and grill. We did kill a scorpion the first night in one bedroom but did not see any others; this is typical of the Hill Country!

  The carpets need a refresh, the kitchen should be better stocked, we have stayed at less expensive places that had more to offer in the kitchen, we had to buy our own trash bags and paper towels, basic spices should be offered. The frying pans were too small. Beds are comfortable and we still enjoyed our stay, but not enough seating in the living room.

  The amenities it was everything expected and more! The kids, teens, and adults were entertained, relaxed, and catered memories we will never forget. The only thing I would recommend for the moose lodge is that it needs interior updating. I stayed there 5 years ago and thought the same thing and even in 2020 it was still the same. If the Kitchen appliances, furniture, and electronics were updated it would make this cabin even more comparable to the other cabins that I love on the resort and also justify the larger price point. Other than that and the location of the hiking trail from the property I would still recommend. Thank you!

  We had a lovely weekend staying at the lodge. The view was great, and the lodge was very nice. We had some issues with the water heater for the spa not being on (pilot light was out). Once we got that lit, despite it saying that the spa was heating and pool was not, apparently the pool was heating as well. Fortunately, I had called the office/support and we were not charged for heating the pool erroneously. I would happily visit again.

  The check-in process was just a little challenging as we could not figure out where to go to officially check-in. Fortunately, one in our group had enough of a phone signal to call and get the code to enter the lodge.
  We appreciated that there was a large space that could accommodate 22 people and a dog, in a setting that was somewhat isolated yet had sufficient supplies available. We enjoyed our time and our stay. (Wish we could have used the pool but it was way too cold, and we didn’t want to spend the extra to heat it.)
  We didn't know that the dining/seating required the overflow outside (we couldn't all sit/eat indoors where it was warmer) - it might help future wintertime guests to know this ahead of time.
  Other things we noticed:
  Given a space that could hold this many people was that we had to bring our own consumables (toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, foil) - we did know this ahead of time but found that unusual.
  The refrigerators took a while to cool down - again, knowing that bringing already-cool food items to help with the refrigerator's efficiency would be have helped.
  Finally, we noticed a few cockroaches, but perhaps that comes with a space that’s in the good outdoors.
  Overall, we would absolutely recommend the lodge to large groups wanting to spend time together.

  Our group of 18 had a great time at the Lost Moose. We never felt cramped and there were plenty of beds for everyone!! We will definitely consider renting the Lost Moose again. Only a few issues that need to be addressed. First, the house was clean but some of the higher up decorations need a good dusting. It didn’t spoil our fun and more important the items and areas that needed to be clean were spotless!! Second, we went to use the hair dryer and it started smoking and blowing sparks. We hope that after telling the management that it is removed but wanted to mention it just in case. The last item had to deal with the washer. When we tried using it it flooded the laundry room. You can see water stains on the door and by the washer so I feel like it’s done that before. We notified the management of this as well and hope they get someone to look at it!! Again just wanted to mention it so anyone using it knows to proceed with caution!!

  Such a lovely and comfortable lodge with so many options for a large group to eat, sleep, talk, play and relax! We enjoyed the hot tub, the fire pit, the porch, the trails and all nearby attractions. So much for everyone to explore!

  Lost Moose Lodge was a great place for our 5 couples to relax, spend time together and explore the Hill Country. And the staff at Log Country Cove were excellent to work with. We would definitely return again.

  Lost Moose Lodge was a great cabin for a large group. Plenty of space for everyone, lots of beds and great amenities. You may want to bring your own pillow (most were very flat) but beds were comfortable. Very pretty location and the property was very clean and well maintained.
  We had a problem with the wifi but called the office and they immediately sent someone out to help us. They even sent someone the next day to follow-up.
  I would highly recommend this property!
