Heroes Hideaway is a 4 bedroom/4 bath home, with jacuzzi in master, that is tucked back onto 5 acres with private trails and wildlife serenity about 1/2 a mile from the waterfront.  This 3,300 square foot home is a perfect place for families and friends to gather.  Storage for boat/trailer located on site. Heroes Hideaway is located on Log Country Cove property and is property managed by Log Country Cove with 20+ years of 5 star hospitality in the Kingsland area.  Non-motorized items included in your stay.

  This was the first time to hold our Family Reunion here. The location was wonderful for everyone. Amenities are also good for multiple ages. The house was a good size but wish there would have been more information on exactly how many beds the house had. It said it slept 18 people but didn't say how many beds were available. It was difficult to have couples trying to find a space that was comfortable. We will call and get more informaton on the property before booking again.

  It wasn't bad. In fact, the cabin itself was very nice. But that's the thing, for as nice as it was overall and as expensive as it was I wouldn't have expected some of the small issues we had like:
  
  - Rusted, broken and sharp dishwasher tray broken parts
  - Shower heads clogged and not working
  - Minor/inexpensive things falling apart in a very nice/expensive cabin
  
  Over all the host was very responsive and addressed our concerns and the stay was good.

  Rented out a cabin for 2 nights for a wedding. We had a total of 14 people staying and this cabin offered plenty of room for everyone. We all walked through the front door amazed by the cleanliness and layout of the house. The pool was definitely a needed amenity while being in Texas. This is definitely a cabin we plan to book again.

  We enjoyed family time with the kids and grandkids at Heroes Hideaway. The versatility allowed us to spend time together at the cabin enjoying the pool, outdoor activitives and meals together. The commons was close enough to take a picnic over and spend time with all the amenities there. We spent time on the boat, in the lake, on the rope swing, and at the playgrounds--beautiful setting! The property delivered everything the description listed, and any questions were answered quickly! We are excited to make this our annual family vacation and can't wait to go back next year!

  We had a great time here! We got married at Cedar Skies and stayed at Hero's Hideaway with our whole wedding party. It was the perfect location and the most fun time! The front desk manager did seem a little annoyed when we asked why the fridge wasn't working. Helpful tip: you have to pre-cool your product before placing it in the fridge! A sign on the fridge with that reminder may help future people from making the same mistake. The pull out couch was also broken, but we made do totally fine without it. We had some golf cart issues, but the maintenance staff was prompt in helping us out! We had a wonderful wedding and Hero's Hideaway was the perfect spot to celebrate with our crew! We would recommend Log Country Cove and Hero's Hideaway any day!

  We booked Heroe's Hideaway as one of 3 houses (within walking distance) for a Reunion of 60 people. All were immaculately clean - not even a spider web on the porches! Heroe's Hideaway was comfortable and fun, with a great kitchen and pool table in the living room. The ravine running beside the house was dry during our visit and provided fantastic boulder hopping walks and photo opportunities. The swimming pool offered welcome relief from the 100 degree heat. Along with the Common Area, near the lake, and all the fun activities, this place was a hit for all ages.

One girl accidentally left a pair of diamond earrings on a nightstand, and the staff at Log Country Cove went and found them and put them in the mail to her immediately!   Heroes Hideaway was in a great, private and quiet location, which was nice with everything going on. The cabin itself was very cool and well laid out. Only complaint on layout was a lack of shower in the master bedroom.
  
  The only negatives was the abundance of deferred maintenance. There were many boards coming up on the back deck, exposed nails that could lead to injury and many of the railings would easily fall over if you were to lean on them. The showers also barely had water coming out of the diverter and the caulking was on the moldy side. My wife is allergic to mold so she simply avoided the shower.
  
  Overall a great property...just needs some attention. Hopefully prior to somone getting hurt or sick. I'd stay there again regardless.

  Everyone had a great time. The beds were comfortable and everyone was able to have privacy. There were ample bathrooms. No standing in line!! We could cook at the house and we all took turns which saved on expenses. Actually we have no complaints.
  Our house did need some repairs. I note this only because I do not want to be charged for things that were already broken like the wooden fencing around the back patio.

  Stayed here with 14 people. Adults and children. House fit all of us very well. Not too close to the common area by the lake which we enjoyed. We also used the common area to our pleasure. People in the office are very nice and helpful.

  We had an amazing time staying at the Haynes Hideaway. The cabin so so spacious and well appointed. Our family had a blast playing pool, swimming, hot tubbing and enjoying the massive porch. This house has everything. The kitchen had every utensil and appliance needed. This house is perfect for a large party. We had a big group and it never seemed crowded.

  We had a great stay at Log Country Cove. We had a group of 12 friends for a co-40th birthday celebration in February. The cozy cabin and heated pool were just right (the hot tub wasn't super hot the first night and the Cove's excellent pool guy was super nice and helpful the following morning, and all was resolved to our satisfaction).
  
  Also, the cabin was clean and the beds super comfy. One thing I might note for next time is that all the cookware is teflon and well worn (if you are concerned about cooking on scratched teflon, you should bring your own pots and pans if planning to cook). Not a deal-breaker for us, but I know plenty of folks that would not cook on scratched teflon.
  
  Highly recommend for a great weekend (or longer!) getaway with family or friends. I definitely hope to go back.

  We had such a great time at Heroes Hideaway. It was so spacious and all my 17 guest slept comfortably. The cabin was very clean when we arrived. The peaceful scenery was perfect and we were not interrupted by noise from other cabin guests. The staff was incredible as well. Thanks so much! We will be back!
