Elkhart Lodge is a 4 bedroom/3 bath home that sleeps 15 guests.  This log home is located at the end of a cove making it a great spot to sit back and relax.  This home is located on Log Country Cove property and is property managed by Log Country Cove with 20+ years of 5 star hospitality in the Kingsland area.  Non-motorized items included in your stay.

  We loved this cabin. Our extended family was very comfortable here. The kitchen is a dream to work in even when preparing meals for large groups of people. Everyone loved the pool and the waterfront access for fishing and water craft.
  Two recommendations:
  1. Shades or blinds for living room. Living room was not habitable for 3 or 4 hours each afternoon with the sun and heat beating in through the big windows.
  2. Upgrade air conditioning for Master bedroom, bedroom above, and upstairs loft. Maintenance came promptly when called about lack of cooling and brought another supplemental unit for the upstairs room, but the temps were just tolerable.
  
  A separate point, the outlets on the outside walls of the master bedroom did not work.

  We had a full family getaway and loved the location. Quiet, serene and pretty close to all The Hill Country towns you’d want to visit.
  
  We thoroughly enjoyed watching the turtles in the cove, morning coffee or evening wine on the patio, overlooking the pool!
  
  The kitchen is fully stocked with plenty of dishes and pots/pans you may need.

  We booked Elkhart Lodge as one of 3 houses (within walking distance) for a Family Reunion of 60 people. All the houses were immaculate - not even a spider web on the porches. Elkhart Lodge, with the soaring windows and beautiful kitchen and swimming pool was a favorite. We easily fed the whole group there and with all the outdoor areas, there was plenty of room for visiting, fishing and playing. Our grands especially enjoyed toad and turtle hunting along the waterway. There is a playground and open area beside the property that we used as well. With the amenities at the lake front Common Area, Elkhart Lodge was a perfect choice for our group and we would love to stay there again.

  I was impressed at how many rooms and beds there were. Everyone in our fairly large family was able to have a bed. Everything was well maintained and the description of the property was very accurate. The common spaces were nice and the kids enjoyed playing there, but some of the rentals were too expensive.

  Our stay at Elkhart Lodge (3rd year in 2021) is always exactly what we hope for ... fun, relaxing getaway with our extended family. The cabin is gorgeous and it sits on one of the coves of Lake LBJ and is very private and tucked in the wooded landscape out of the main thoroughfare of Log Country Cove. This year, the cabin had new owners so we were surprised with all the new furnishings and completely redone bathrooms (gorgeous) and kitchen counters. The view from the main room is lush and calming and there is so much to do ... pool, fishing, fire pit, football, playground, swings, horseshoes and more all right at the cabin. If you walk or drive (rent golf cart for fun) to Log Country main office for more fun with putt-putt golf, water trampoline, tree swing, sand volleyball and more. We have found our spot ... it feels like home .... we want to spend time here every summer it’s available ... you will not be disappointed. Log Country Cove staff is super friendly, very helpful and accommodating and always eager to do what they can to keep guests happy.

  Our family, 6 adults, 3 children, LOVED our stay st Elkhart Lodge. Plenty of space for everyone. Large kitchen was very well equipped with everything you need; although we couldn't find a toaster.
  Pool was outstanding.Grandson could fish down at the inlet.
  Management is a dream to work with. Everyone is so nice. We had an issue with one of the upstairs bedrooms getting uncomfortably hot. Made a call and maintenance guys were there in an hour. Just needed freon. Would love to come back here again!

  Very spacious cabin with beautiful surroundings and a great swimming pool! Super for couples or a families with kids. The play set and horse shows were definitely a plus. Only downside to this was that the kitchen was, while equips for cooking and feeding large parties, it was not as well equipped as others that we’ve stayed in.

  We had a wonderful time, and thought the property was beautiful. We enjoyed fishing, hiking, the Christmas tree you provided, and the cool cabin. We had a problem heating the cabin at first, but it was fixed promptly by your repairmen. FYI - The oven doesn't close completely, so we had to cook meals longer.
