The Vaughn is a 4 bedroom/4.5 bath log home steps away from Lake LBJ.  The Vaughn is a great place for families! At the Vaughn you are on the water and also right by our commons area where there is something for everyone.  The Vaughn is on Log Country Cove property and is managed by Log Country Cove with, 20+ years of 5 star hospitality in the Kingsland area.  Non-motorized items included in your stay.

  Beautiful log home with the most beautiful view of Lake LBJ. Have stayed in this one numerous times and always very clean and comfortable and equipped with anything you need and in best location. Property management is the best you will ever find. Mina and staff take care of you and very accommodating. We have been staying in their properties for twenty years and never had a bad experience. Highly recommend this home or any they have. Our family loves our family time together there every summer and have made the best memories and friends with the management and their family.   The Vaughn was a great big cabin with plenty of beds and lots of bathrooms. the grounds are fabulous with so much to do for the little ones right in our backyard. It could use a good cleaning overall, the furniture is pretty stained and carpets as well. I understand there is alot of traffic in these larger cabins, but it could use a bit of freshening up. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook, etc. There was a blow dryer in master even though it does say to bring one. The views are spectacular from this cabin and we took many wedding pics right there. Also, I would like to mention the big screen TV upstairs in the loft was not working when we got there. I reported it to management and they installed a new big screen tv that same day. Very accommodating!!!!!

  We had our daughters wedding and have everyone rent houses. They were all in the large house and were were next door in the Vaughn house. It was an epic weekend with a summer camp theme. We played summer camp games and it was the perfect spot if you have a group of people. Everything was perfect and the staff and winners were amazing to work with. We will definitely be back and will be telling everyone we know. Everyone told us how amazing this weekend was and how much fun everyone had. So much to do and it is such a beautiful place. The pictures don’t do it justice. Thank you to Amanda who was our wedding coordinator and helped everything go perfectly. We cannot say enough good things about our weekend here.

  We just returned from a mini family reunion at the Vaughn. It was a perfect home and location! There was plenty of room to spread out. We were 4 couples and each had their own king bedroom and private bath. My 86 year old dad was able to stay on the ground floor master suite with no stairs to navigate. We cooked every night and had everything we needed! There is plenty of comfy seating for gatherings and three separate sitting areas, which is great especially if you have kids with you. The views were spectacular and we enjoyed the hot tub! The staff quickly resolved the issue when our internet went out and called back to make sure everything was working. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation and will definitely be back!

  The cabin is unlike any other place we have stayed, it is warm, comfortable and relaxing for a large group. During our stay, it unfortunately rained every day, so our family was unable to get out to enjoy the rest of the amenities, but even staying inside the entire time with 19 people, we all had tons of space and were very happy just staying inside, enjoying the wood burning fireplace, watching the world cup, football and doing puzzles and card games. Between the rain, we were able to throw a few lines in the water to fish for an hour here and there because it was so close off the backyard. The cabin was clean and as described in pictures. Furniture was comfortable and clean with a lot of seating in both TV areas (main floor and loft). Beds and linens were comfortable with plenty of sleeping room. The only negative was the kitchen layout. It was tight between the stove and fridge, but we managed, and you will too. Property manager was great to work with. We already booked another stay in the summer! Highly recommend.

  This was our 2nd visit to this amazing cabin. The cabin is beautiful and the view is priceless. It appears that they replaced many of the beds since our last visit and they were very comfortable and the sheets were fabulous. They also installed an ice maker in the kitchen which we thoroughly enjoyed. If we had one complaint about the would be the kitchen. It is not very functional for the size of the cabin. It definitely would not deter us from returning. Thanks for another great weekend at Log Country Cove.

  We love Having our family reunion at Log Country Cove. This year we experience for the first time some items not working at the coyote moon Lodge. But that did not damper our time there. We just enjoyed the added game items in the barn and the larger tables in the kitchen! Our children and grandchildren love spending time in the pool and also time by the lake. Since we are a family that plays volleyball we love the sand volleyball court you all have on the property. Always a good match with all the family.

  We stay at the Vaughn each year for our family vacation. This large cabin has 4 bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen. The location of this cabin sits right on the Colorado River. The resort offers an area with sand volleyball, swings, miniature golf, and a picnic area. You can rent kayaks, boats, and jet skis at the office. There is plenty to do whether you want relaxation or water adventures. They have it all. We look forward to this every year!

  If you're looking for a great family vacation spot, this is the place for you! My family stays at the Vaughn. It's located right on the water for easy access to the lake. It's also located right by the office and the common area amenities which includes a sand volleyball area, a 9 hole mini golf course, a playground for the littles, lots of chairs and tables for your use, a huge water trampoline, a rope swing into the water, and boat/seadoo rentals. This is our favorite Texas vacation destination. Always well maintained, lots of things to do, and just a great place to relax!

  This cabin, with the lake in your backyard, is beautiful, comfortable and has everything you need. A beautiful lawn area that spills right into the lake. There is also an awesome deck bigger than anything you would dream of. The owners are fabulous and there is so much to do right here on this vacation property. Don't miss out.

  Gorgeous house. Gorgeous yard. Log Country Cove is amazing. The only issue we had was with the air conditioner. It was freezing in parts of the house and hot in others. Otherwise, it’s an amazing house. We will rent this house again.
