  This was a great family get together. We rented two houses and attended a wedding in Log Cove at Ceder Pines. The house was lovely. There were some maintenance issues that need to be addressed. There is a broken towel holder in one of the bathrooms. The pool heater was broken and was not fixed until the last day despite repeated phone calls.

  I had a great time at Log Country Cove! We rented two houses for a church retreat. It was really easy to book and the leasing office was very flexible (we originally reserved three houses and were able to change to two when I realized less people were going to come). Everyone had an amazing time. The houses were clean and in great shape overall. This property is great for gathering big groups of people. There are a lot of options to choose from in terms of house sizes/rooms. We could walk to the lake area and were able to use things like canoes, kayaks, paddle boards etc. Everyone really enjoyed that and liked just relaxing in the adirondack chairs and hammocks around the common area. The kids also enjoyed the pools and playground equipment. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend Log Country Cove for big groups!

  We searched high and low for the perfect spot to host a family vacation with ten adults and eleven grandchildren and found the Wood Haven at Log Country Cove to be the ideal match for our needs. Wood Haven sits high on the hill overlooking the rest of the facility, with evening breezes and a gorgeous view of the hill country sunset and night sky. The pool is located just off the back patio, shaded in the late afternoon by a large oak tree. The amenities at the lake provided days of fun for everyone, including kayaking, longboards, swimming, jumping on the water trampoline, and swinging into the water. Seadoo and boat rental is very convenient. There are plenty of shady spots for relaxing and eating and a small sandy beach for the young ones to enjoy. This was 100% a hit with our entire family.

  We rented Wood Haven and Belle Oaks for a family reunion. The houses are close enough to walk between and there is a bit of a trail you can follow between the two houses. Everyone was so happy with the accommodations! Wood Haven is perfect for a large group. So many areas to sit and chat inside and outside the house. We saw deer every night of our stay. The pool was great. The house was clean, AC was cold, and the kitchen has everything you could possibly want for cooking. Highly recommend Log Country Cove.

  This home was an amazing getaway for our entire family to celebrate my husbands retirement. Beds were comfortable. Home felt very clean. Pool was fun and safe with the latch on it that the 2 little grandchildren could not reach. I brought a lot of stuff thinking it may be needed, but this house had almost anything we needed. Start up supplies were perfect. Only thing we went to buy more of was trash bags. We brought some and they had some, but with 12 people we generated a lot of trash so bring extra. We would come back here and stay in Wood Haven again. One thing I loved as the mom/grandma was watching planes above making their way to Austin Airport. I got to share this with the grandsons while waiting for the next one to fly over. Also the remoteness of this cabin was perfect. We had no neighbors, so felt like our own paradise. Also the wildlife was great for the little boys to watch, birds and deer in the evening and morning. Pool table was also nice for the adults to do something else after swimming time.
  I also loved the laundry room under the covered drive so that towels could be washed when we needed, although they give you plenty to start with. We just had a lot of wet pool ones to wash. We were so happy that we chose this place for this huge milestone, and have already recommended it to several friends. We did not go anywhere except to M & M donuts every morning. We love the people who run the place as we got to know them when we came to the area before. Otherwise we ate meals in the house. You could not ask for a more relaxing place to stay.

  This place had it all. We stayed in the Wood Haven, which exceeded all expectations, 4 adults and 5 kids, and could have had twice that and still been comfortable. The setting was perfect for a relaxing week away with all the amenities you could want, including deer and other wildlife that would come up in the evening. The common area was lots of fun with sand volleyball, peddle boats, fishing, putt-putt, tree swings and a playground. Best of all was just the overall family friendly service and staff that put this place above any others. We’ll definitely be back again.

  This cabin was perfect! We have 4 adult kids. The groom was comfortable in the bedroom off the kitchen for the first couple of nights. The two older boys with 3 little ones each were happy with their separate sides of the upstairs. They each had their own space with bathroom. The loft between the two large bedroom upstairs was perfect for babysitters we brought since all our sons were from out- of- town and involved in the wedding. The bedroom s downstairs worked well for Mom and Dad ( the old folks) and my daughter. She shared her bathroom with the babysitters. The little ones loved the pool, playground, and exploring by the river. Mini-golf was a hit. We have absolutely no complaints! We brought more kitchen utensils than needed. Everything was there.

  We checked in at 4:00 pm on a Friday. Even though we requested heating of the pool, it was not heated. Staff came out as soon as we called, but it took until the next morning to heat. Our only other complaint was the number of flies. Perhaps a mosquito service would help. We have stayed in the house in previous years and bed linens appeared to be the same in the master bedroom—showing wear.

  Our stay was excellent! We had 20 people who stayed very comfortably. The only thing that we could’ve complained about was a smoke detector that was beeping the entire time we were there. Someone was supposed to come and fix it the first day we were there and no one ever showed up. The second, the pool table was nice but the pool cues were horrible. Really minor things. We had a great vacation and will definitely be coming back.

  We had a wonderful extended family getaway at Wood Haven. The house was a perfect fit for all of us. This was our first time at Log Country Cove and we loved everything about the place. We will definitely be back.

  We converged on this place with, with our three kids' families. Great house and lots to do right in the neighborhood. We rented a pontoon boat one morning. We hiked the neighborhood trails (several times) and spent a lot of time in the pool. Great extended weekend!

  While Wood Haven was a decent trek to the water if you're walking if you have a trailer or vehicle to carry your things, it really isn't so bad. The cabin was absolutely wonderful for our family. Everything was very clean when we arrived. The pool was wonderful and even had a few pool toys for the kids there. The kitchen was large and was perfect for cooking a large meal for a lot of people. The two grills also came in very handy, though if you plan on using them, don't forget to bring charcoal. Everyone loved the little mini golf course by the main office. All in all, we had a great time.

  The house was great for our family of 13. However, we had the following concerns:
  The metal iron support pointed angle structures on the fence base outside, both sides of the pool gate are HUGE HAZARDS. We covered each side of the gate with tables but permanent correction is needed. the present hazard is pure negligence.
  There are exposed screws and loose bolts on the playscape.
  There are NO reading lamps in the house. The bedrooms are dark so good lamplight is essential. In the Master bedroom we had to move furniture to even plug one in and provided our own extension card for the necessary CPAP.
  The stove top controls are badly worn and nearly impossible to read.
  The knob to turn on the vent hood light is missing making it nearly impossible to turn on or off.
  The pool must have been "shocked" right before our arrival as the level of chlorine was excessive and caused many tears among the small children.
  We find Log Cabin Cove stingy with basic amenities like paper towels, toilet paper, and on this visit, trash bags.

  We had a number of family members meet for a reunion. We stayed in Woodhaven and a short distance from there, also rented Belle Oaks. Both properties were exceptionally clean, nicely furnished from kitchen needs to all lines and included several amenities for keeping everybody entertained from horseshoes to hot tubs !

  Our entire family had a wonderful time at The Wood Haven for our Thanksgiving holiday. Everyone appreciated the large spacious bedrooms. We used all the amenities; heated pool, fire pit, play scape, sand volleyball court, covered car port for our annual bean bag championship tournament, and so much more! On top of all this, it was beautifully appointed for the holidays. This made if very welcoming and special for our family. Thank you so much to the owners and we hope to stay there again.
