The house is nice, but the set up is pretty weird, with one entrance up a winding, non-ADA compliant ramp and the other entrance clearly at the back of the house. Once inside, it’s nice. And there are plenty of places to sit and relax outside too. It’s just that they don’t connect in the way that you might think. And the hot tub is in full view of another house, which was kind of weird.

overall a great experience. the only frustrating part was that the sprinklers turned on Sunday morning when we were packing to leave making packing and loading difficult without getting wet. It seems that turning on sprinklers during a less busy rental time (ie: during the week) may interfere less with weekend renters visits. also the trash can was broken. otherwise proximity to the lake and kids activities was great!

We do our very best to water, mow, etc when home is more likely to be unoccupied but we do value our weekday guest just as much as the weekend guest. This was amazing for our mixed family with various mobility needs! I will say the cabin is more handicap friendly than wheelchair accessible. There’s a large lip into the bottom floor suite from outside, and no grab bars in the shower or toilet area. The downstairs bathroom is VERY spacious and has lowered vanity and wide doorways. The bed is very tall (approx 40” tall) so my loved one slept on the sleeper couch instead. The rest of the cabin was amazing and perfect. The amenities were so great, my kids really enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding, and peddle boating. The variety of watercraft rentals allowed us to try lots of things. The entire atmosphere was so family friendly and peaceful. Staff was simply amazing and accommodating. Everything worked, water pressure great, clean property and grounds, and simply beautiful. My friend and I are already planning next years vacation to here!

This was a relaxing stay where we were able to beat the Texas heat at the end of July. We had two families staying and how the cabin's common area is the 2nd floor helped with creating space when needed to settle down the children separately. A close walk to all the amenities. We had one issue in which a piece of the door fell off and the staff was so quick to resolve it. I was truly impressed at how the equipment in the common areas was in great shape. Everything was really taken cared of. The kids loved the mini put put course and gagaball. HEB is super close by if you need to run out and grab something.

spent four nights here at Running Bear. Loved it. The handicap capabilities are not as we had hoped though. Has ramp to second floor, but it is outside and not really easy for elderly to walk it. Bed in master bedroom on the bottom floor is very high and we had to get a step stool to get my in-laws into bed. But the cabin is beautiful and love the decorations. The Log Cabin Cove is very peaceful and workers there are very friendly and accomadating.

Our family of six really liked the cabin a lot. It's perfect for 6-8 guests, with good-sized BR's and Baths in all 3 BR's. Nice living area on second floor. Close to the lake and basketball and horseshoes and boat rentals. Really great patios too. Nice hike close by. There is a good ADA ramp around the cabin, but not that ADA friendly inside. Also, needs more wine glasses! Would we stay here again and recommend to others? Absolutely!!!

We had a large group at Log Country Cove, renting two houses, Cowboys Cove and Running Bear. Our experience was fabulous. The location on the water was great, the homes were clean and well stocked. Plenty of space to hang out inside and out. We had great weather so that made outside living even better. The amenities of Log Country Cove make for a perfect family getaway, with kayaks, canoes, pontoon boats (for rent), sand volleyball, and lots of common area to enjoy.

The cabin was very cute. We loved it. Perfect size for our family. Very nice, clean, in great shape and decorated so well. Will try to come again. However- those big curbs are hazardous in the dark. I fell and broke my foot. The rest of the family had a great time

We had a wonderful time with all the things provided and available for us to use. Typically, we could not have afforded such a place but came upon the means this time, to splurge a little. The place is beautiful and well maintained, and clean. Would like to come back some day but will have to save up to do so. Keep up the great family business(so wonderful), to provide such a nice place for folks to gather. The staff is very accommodating and I really appreciated the fact that we were allowed an extra hour Before checking out, and told if it wasn’t being rented later that day, could have had a little more. We had such an incredible family weekend at Log Country Cove! The resort is filled with fun family activities, including kayaking, canoeing, stand up paddleboarding, a water trampoline, rope swing, picnic areas, and so much more! The Running Bear cabin is beautiful, and we loved every second of our stay! Can't wait to go back...we already booked our next trip and plan to make a visit to Log Country Cove an annual family tradition!

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the dugout. The grounds were meticulous and spacious. The location was perfect for evening fishing and offered adequate space to dock our boat. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a perfect lakehouse experience.

I had my wedding at LCC and rented several cabins; the staff at the venue and for the cabins was more than accommodating! it was the most exquisite wedding weekend experience had by all! we will be back to celebrate anniversaries and to enjoy time with family whenever we can! this place is a slice of heaven on earth! My family stayed in the Dugout for Christmas and had an amazing time. The house was beautiful and the scenery was amazing. We only wish the weather had cooperated more so that we could have enjoyed the outdoors more. This might be a new family tradition for us.
